2017.02.06 Conversion Story of Melisa Cateo

Dear Family and Friends,
The main event for this week was Sister Melisa de la Cruz Cateo's baptism.
At Bacolod 1st Ward, Bacolod Philippines Stake, February 4, 2017 Saturday 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Sister Melisa Cateo is a nineteen year old young woman who came from Don Salvador, Bacolod City. Life for her family was a struggle. She has several younger siblings who are depending on her. Because of Sister Melisa’s desire to help her family, she decided to work as a house helper at the city. Incidentally, she found herself working at a member’s house, the Suyod family, who was very supportive and caring for her. Eventually, they invited her to come and attend church with them. She came and the missionaries then started teaching her at the Suyod’s residence. From then on, Sister Melisa’s desire to know more about the truth has grown. She kept her commitments and showed her faith by accepting to be baptized. Finally, she was baptized and has received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thru the guidance of the Holy Ghost, coupled with her faith, she continues to learn and now desires that her family back at home receive the gospel.
